Driving back home from our all-hands meeting in Charlotte – and running low on gas. When I get off 85 I see the first gas station has gas! Whoot! So I pull in behind this big F350 at the pump. Tommy decided his deck needed to come down (it didn’t have anything to do with the fact that I made a section fall just by standing on it)! So, he got him a contractor all set to come out and build this beautiful patio around the house, but that old deck has to go first, and the contractor he hired doesn’t do demolition. This book has been one of those rare treasures that I have longed to read and never quite got around to it. Another awe inspiring read from O’REILLY – I mean really, it’s stuff like this that makes you wonder what sort of penny pincher is keeping us from having a Corporate Safari Online Bookshelf! This book looks at application architecture, development practices, technologies, Unicode, and general infrastructure work, and the Author (Cal Henderson) nails it!
